Matt Carder is the founding pastor of Commonway. A 2002 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Matt backpacked solo to over 30 countries after graduation, before returning home to marry his college sweetheart, Liz. Commonway was birthed under his leadership in 2005 at Union Chapel, and was planted as an independent church in August of 2011. Matt is working toward his Masters of Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary. He enjoys each new life adventure with his wife and two children.
Jeremy Neckers is the Connections Pastor at Commonway. Originally from southwestern New York, Jeremy moved to Muncie in the early 90s with his parents and sister. After graduating from Delta High School, he earned a degree in chemistry and biology from Ball State in 2002. While Jeremy has been a part of Commonway since its inception, he spent a number of years as a middle school math & science teacher before joining the staff. He and his wife, Maggie, live in Muncie with their two daughters.
Children's Ministry Director
Jill Dubois joined Commonway as the Children’s Ministry Director in 2012. She grew up in rural Wabash before venturing to Muncie where she studied elementary education at Ball State. Jill taught in a local school until she transitioned from the classroom to staying at home full-time with the birth of her first child. She finished her Masters Degree in elementary education just before starting this new adventure in children’s ministry. Jill and her husband, Kevin, live outside of Muncie with their three children.
Cliff Ritchey joined Commonway in 2009 as the Director of Music. Originally from northeast Ohio, he graduated from Anderson University in 2000. An accomplished musician, Cliff has a rich background as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter having spent seven years touring and recording albums. Also an accomplished photographer, he founded Cliff Ritchey Art in 2006. Now living in the Pendleton area, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys family life with his two children.
Bobby Moran is the Youth Pastor at Commonway. He grew up on a farm right down the road in Anderson, Indiana. Bobby attended Anderson University and graduated in May 2016 with a criminal justice degree. He loves the outdoors and spent a summer in Seattle, Washington as a mountaineering and climbing guide with a Christian Non-Profit. Bobby recently married his college sweetheart, Sharla. Together, they are excited to continue working with the youth.
Gus Goggin is the College Pastor at Commonway Church, and couldn’t be more thrilled. Gus grew up on a farm just outside a New Castle, Indiana, and graduated from New Castle High School in 2012. He graduated from Ball State in 2016, but much more importantly he got married to his beautiful wife Stephanie during the summer before his Senior year. Gus has been going to Commonway for 5 years and been a part of Commonway Kids, Commonway youth, and multiple small groups. Gus and Stephanie are tickled to be serving the church and college students.
Debbie Caldwell joined Commonway as the Administrative Director in 2011. Born and raised locally, Debbie graduated from Delta High School. She moved on to early graduation from Taylor with her bachelor’s, cum laude, with majors in Business Administration and Accounting. Her experience spans public, large corporations and not-for-profit administration and accounting. Nearing twenty years of marriage to her husband, Danin, they have two children.
Audrey Behrendt works as the Administrative Assistant for Commonway Church. She grew up on farm in Southeastern Delaware County. She left Indiana for Texas where she received her BA in Speech Communications from Texas A&M University. After working as an event coordinator for a time post-graduation, she returned to her roots in agriculture and rejoined the family business. She and 1her husband, Mike, were married in 2006 and now enjoy a full, never boring, ever changing, blessed life with their 4 children.
