Expectant, Pt. 1

Expectant

Waiting. We all hate it. It's frustrating because it's a passive process that we can't influence and have to be patient with. But how does this contrast with our "waiting" on the coming of the Kingdom of God? Considering all the despair we see in the world everyday, it's hard to maintain hope that everything will be redeemed and made right. But yet, we are called not just to patiently and apathetically wait on the ushering in of God's Kingdom - we are called to eagerly and boldly anticipate it. In this message, we give you a few thoughts on how to do that.

From Series: "Expectant"

No other holiday throughout the year comes with as much excitement and anticipation as Christmas. But here's the real question: do we anticipate what Christmas implies for believers, the literal ushering in of the Kingdom of God, with the same fervor and intensity? In this Advent sermon series, we explore what it means to eagerly anticipate, and even actively participate, in the coming of the Kingdom of God where all is redeemed and made new.
