Calling

The Life of Moses

When we think about our calling in life, we often think about our job, where we'll live, our relationships, etc. Our primary question regarding our calling is, "what is it?". However, looking at the life of Moses and and how he was called to be a critical part of God's story, we learn there's a more important question to ask about your calling: Who? Who is it who's calling you? Knowing that answer helps you to say yes to whatever He has planned next for you.

From Series: "The Life of Moses"

There is perhaps no figure in the Old Testament as well known as Moses. Even most who don't share the Christian faith are familiar with his story. But what many don't realize about Moses is that, like all of us, saying 'yes' to what God was calling him to was never easy. It was filled with doubt, both in the tasks God laid before him as well as whether he was qualified to carry them out. Above all, what we'll learn in examining the life of Moses is not so much about the 'what' God calls us to, but rather why trusting the 'who' is doing the calling...is what we're called to do.
