Commonway Youth is a group of students who get together almost every week throughout the school year (plus a special summer calendar) to encourage each other and better define their relationship with Jesus. Our big goal is to help students grow closer together as a community and closer to God as individuals; we want each of us to become just a bit more like Jesus.

Middle School
Sundays @ 5pm
Our middle school age group meets every Sunday from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Youth Room (basement level of Commonway Church building.)
Middle School Youth Gatherings Format: We start with a check-in time where we meet and greet and laugh a bit. Next, we head downstairs an icebreaker activity, a snack, and an activity or game for some big fun. At 6:00 our high school students join us for worship and our lesson. We wrap up with our small group discussion time.
High School
Sundays @ 6:00pm
Our high school age group meets every Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Youth Room (basement level of the Commonway Church building.)
High School Youth Gatherings Format: We start with a check-in upstairs time where we meet and connect before heading downstairs. In the youth room we join with the middle schoolers for worship time and our lesson. We then break into our small groups for discussion time. The last hour is our “high school” only time during which we will have a snack, an icebreaker, and a fun activity.

What does a typical youth get together look like?
A typical youth get-together is a group of students spending time together in a relaxed, fun environment. We value peer-to-peer friendships as well as friendships between students and caring adults. All are encouraged to come honestly and authentically and engage with a community that’s seeking to be with Jesus, to be like Jesus, and to do what Jesus did.

Do you have to regularly attend Commonway to be a part of Commonway Youth?
Absolutely not! About half of the students who attend Commonway Youth on Sunday nights or Commonway Youth events do not attend Commonway Church on Sunday mornings.
