We gather at the Horizon Convention Center, 401 S. High Street, in downtown Muncie every Sunday at 10:30 AM. Our church office is located at 1208 W. White River Blvd. in Muncie.

We are an interdenominational church, meaning we are not affiliated with any particular religious group but are encompassed by individuals from a variety of faith backgrounds and walks of life. Our unity in Jesus Christ is our commonality.

We fully realize and welcome the fact that everyone is at different places in their spiritual journeys. We don’t require you to believe anything about God or Jesus before trying us out. As fundamental beliefs for our church, our elder board affirms the Nicene and Apostles creeds. In addition, based on scripture, we have five values as a church that guide everything we do: Authentic Relationships, Generous Service, Shared Grace, Biblical Accountability, and Intentional Discipleship. There is plenty of parking in the large parking lot and parking garage behind the Horizon Convention Center and Muncie Children’s Museum. If you’re coming down High St., we recommend turning right at Charles St. and then left on S. Franklin St. to access the lot. You’ll see many people parking and walking into the Convention Center!

Our Lead Pastor and church leader is Matt Carder. Graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and soon to be graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, Matt is a young, gifted yet humble leader whose biblically based messages resonate with people from all walks of life. Commonway Kids is located in the Muncie Children’s Museum which shares space with the Horizon Center. We serve children from birth to 5^th grade every Sunday during the 10:30 AM service. It is our goal to be able to minister to children entrusted to our care each week to help them experience God in a real way! To learn more about Commonway Kids, click here.

We are governed by a board of elders. This team meets monthly to prayerfully determine the direction of the church, as well as to make decisions relating to church budget, church governance, mission oversight, etc. Visit our staff page to learn more about our elders. Our day-to-day activities are carried out by our Ministry Team. This team consists of paid staff and also volunteer leaders who oversee different ministry areas. The Ministry Team meets monthly to evaluate, plan, and implement all of our current ministry programs and initiatives.

We strive to keep you connected and involved to everything that is going on at Commonway and provide several avenues for you to do so.
